Its always the little things...

As salam o alaikum!

Well, first of all, I'd need to clear a huge misunderstanding that was caused in a reader's mind, and most probably, a lot of them.
Who am I? Why do I write? Who the he** do I think I am? Why do I believe people should read me?
A very simple answer to this question would be; I am Maryam, a 20 year old girl that wants to learn and teach, and experience life at its best.
Why do I have a blog?
Hmm, well, the biggest reason to this has to be, I like to express myself in my own way. My vocabulary isn't extraordinarily fascinating. My writing, sometimes, might not even make that much sense. But I basically write about the things, the events that happen around me, and specially when they do not go as planned, expected or desired. Sometimes, I feel like changing myself into someone who is much better, more understanding towards a situation. Therefore, I write! Not to advice you people, but to show an opinion on how a situation could have been a little bit better, or best, if the thoughts or ideas behind it were different or more, lets say, mature.

I do not consider myself a chick who knows-it-all. I don't know anything, apart from what I have seen, heard, gone through, and learnt. I perceive situations in ways that sometimes seem self-centered. But may be because I am not allowed to see the other side of the story, I am left with no option but to tell myself constantly that may be, things went the way they were supposed to, or I could have done better. So, while reading this blog, make sure you don't end up converting yourself into me, or misjudging the very concept of my posts. I do not, and I repeat, I do NOT intend to advice or act like a boss. All I wanna do is; spread the message of hope and positive attitude. Because these two things basically bring all the difference in me, you and everyone else. Those are the traits that would separate us from the desperate, gloomy and dark side of the world. Hope, positive behavior and optimism make us the 'bright people'.

Hope; the feeling that what is wanted can be had.
I, personally, do not describe 'hope' as a feeling, but more as a lifestyle. You can chose to be in despair 24 hours a day, or you can be hopeful for one hour in those 24 hours, and not feel the darkness, the grief in yourself for the rest of the day.

Basically, a human needs to assert himself that to attain a certain quality, he needs to put the required effort. If he wants to sound good, then prior to that, he would need to become a good listener. Because that's how he'd be able to understand the literal meaning of 'sounding nice'. Same is, when you want things to make you happy, you need to frame yourself and your thoughts accordingly. You need to tell yourself that everything around you is right. And whatever is leading you towards sadness is just another challenge which needs to be faced and, then, sorted out.

Sometimes people find the very 'easy' way out of hardships; giving up. Which is, according to all literature and Hollywood alike, Cowardly. Most probably because they are too scared of a certain failure or, may be, they just don't feel themselves as good enough. But then again the question rises, how much good is good enough?
I say, any man who can think about what he has to do, and realizes the consequences, is good enough to face, literally, anything. My belief is, all you need is your mind to constantly assure you that things are eventually going to make sense, once and for all. When you stop complicating the simple things, the beauties of life, such as - love, care, sincerity, kindness and smiles - thats when you discover that every little act you do, every little effort you put into life, is much bigger than your thoughts and imagination.

If you give love, you might not get the exact return, but the feeling inside of being there for someone, is simply amazing.
If you smile, you might not smile forever, but you'll know the true meaning of it after crying for a little while.
If you care for someone, they might not give back exactly the way you desired, but in the long run, that care would become the part of your character, and you'll be among those who the world refers as 'humans'.

Hope is, basically, making yourself believe that life is not as bad as it could have been. Its about the very moment when you're going to make another attempt on hurting someone, but you don't, hoping that they would realize how much you care for them.
Its about that one second when you're going to assume the worst result of a given challenge, but you tell yourself,"I'll put everything I got, and let my fate decide the rest."

Life, does not come easy for any of us. For a lot of people, it doesn't come easy, at all. But they still survive. They still manage to wake up every single day with a smile on their faces. How? Well, that's the most exact definition of hope! To make your survival 'worth-living', you have to live a simple yet beautiful life. You have to make all the complications xyz turn into simple ABC. Its rather a fairy-tale idea that hope can make everything all right. But ask someone, who was about to lose a loved one in an accident, but hoped the other way round. Ask some student who gave exams during a hard time of their life, and hoped that they would do as great as they wished to.

Hope is not about sitting on your desk, waiting for your job to be done. Its more of, doing your job with all the hard work and passion in yourself, and guaranteeing your heart that the results are going to be good.

Life is simple. It consists of simple things; a beautiful smile, a kind gesture, a heart-warming prayer, and a lot of things that are around you which make your inner sense feel better.
Don't make it complicated enough to make you nervous or afraid.

As life does not need big words. Our days do not need our regrets. The constantly passing hours don't want us to waste another one in hate or nervousness. Most of the times, we need to break the barriers, cross the limits of self-love or hate, and look beyond it. There are a lot of people on the list who love us, and want our love. Who cherish us, and expect the same from us.

Do not despair. Because if things are not going your way, then they are definitely reaching towards a different destination, better than you could ever plan for. Stay positive in your thoughts, and satisfied in your heart, and LORD willing, everything would be all right!

Love you, O Maa!

A dark cold night it was, I remember,
starin' wide eyed, at the clear sky,
mood I felt was harsh and weird,
couldnt figure out the reason Why?

standin' there was I, in a bitter truth,
it felt as if all had fallen apart,
no one to hold me was standin' there,
Alone I was, with a broken heart,

a glimpse I saw, a mere light,
as my clock suddenly turned eleven,
covered in white, beauty of a bride,
looked as if it were from heaven,

it seemed as if the day has begun,
the shadows of night had long gone,
her beauty brightened all my senses,
into dusk, was turned the dawn!

Oh yes, it was, my gorgeous mother
who came to ask me if I had my dinner,
how sweetly her face enlightened the dark,
never she let me fall into despair,

I hugged her tight, tears ran down my eye,
I kept cursin myself, for feelin so odd,
she hugged me back, smoothly yet strong,
"may you remain in the protection of LORD"

i tell you the story of my only 'hope'
the one who stood by me, forever,
the hand, which never let me go
the smile, the faith, the accepted prayer!

She is my mother, my blessed friend,
the person who owns the right to me,
the one I owe my existence to,
the one who survived the worst for me,

i'd give my heart, my soul for her,
to make her happy, i'd sacrifice it all,
to make you proud, i'd face it all,
every burden, huge or small!

I love you now, O Maa, till eternity,
no human can be, what you're to me!
may you live a long, a healthy life,
may LORD keep you forever, with me!

Make Me Strong!

Embarrassments, Depressions, Desperations, Regrets, Heartbreaks, Failures... Who among us hasnt faced any of this? None.
All of them combined, every moment of embarrassment, every second we spend in depression, everyday we felt desperate or regretful of something that happened in the Past, every time someone broke our heart or failed us, we get a group of; Mistakes!

No Human has ever been perfect. Since the days of Adam (Alaih Salam), humans have always acted in ways that weren't right. This creation of ALLAH Almighty has always been the one that disobeyed HIM, no matter of the knowledge it had. Adam (Alaih Salam) was ordered to not eat that 'one' apple, but he got distracted, and ended up doing something which he was forbidden of. He later regretted it, asked ALLAH, The ALMIGHTY, to forgive him, and ALLAH, The MERCIFUL, did forgive him.

Mistake; An error or fault resulting from defective judgment, deficient knowledge, or carelessness.
Mistake is that action, which does not give the correct result, but happens due to the poor knowledge, a misunderstanding or simple careless behaviour of someone. And they give us the emotions of negativity; Embarrassment, depression, regret etc.
Every human goes through that moment, or a couple of moments, when he feels regretful of what he did or said in the past and cannot help but kneel down and, as tears roll down his eyes, say,"I am sorry."

Even the most heartless, most harsh people who have committed the worst of sins, or crimes, have been observed to contain the feeling of regret. An uncle of mine, who was quite a rich man, left his job because it was not 'Halal' according to Islamic Values. Lived a life hand-to-mouth after resigning from that work. But as he passed away, the feeling of satisfaction was apparent on his face, as someone who dies as a Martyr. May his soul rest in peace!

I am not stating the concept of making mistakes and rejecting it. What I really want to tell myself, and people who might read it, is.. that as humans, we do make worst of the mistakes. We all have committed those sins that may feel good at the time, but later in life, you cannot do anything but call yourself an 'idiot' for that certain act. And that's where the belief and faith of "I am sorry" comes in!

ALLAH, THE ALMIGHTY, is always there. HE sees us, 24/7, and HIS angels are recording everything we do. We are sometimes so afraid of an act to be seen by anyone or the public. We keep or 'privacy' levels extremely high. But howcome we never realise that there is our LORD, from whom we can never hide? We are so worried about our mother knowing about a certain status update. We are always concerned about a certain 'page like' being seen by our sibling(s). We just cannot tell anyone in the family about that one curse word, or gossip, we learnt from school or office. But how come we forget that ALLAH The ALMIGHTY is ALL-Listener, ALL-Seeing? HE created us. HE sees, hears, knows of every little moment we spend in prayers, in sleeping, in crying, in smiling, in hating, in loving. HE, THE OMNIPOTENT, The OMNIPRESENT, Is always there and knows what are we upto next.

As mentioned in Qur'an,"We are nearer to him, then his jugular vein. (Sorah Qaf(50): 16."
ALLAH knows everything we write in the inbox of our Facebook. ALLAH knows everything we chat about in our IMs. ALLAH knows everything we think about, while talking to any body. HE knows whom we love, hate, despise, respect truly, or care about fakely.
HE knows when our tears are true, and whenever our smiles are hypocrite, HE KNOWS.
HE knows, when we bow infront of HIM for the sake of HIS existence, for HIS love, or just in the fear of Hell-fire. HE, The ALL-KNOWING, knows everything.

Every single moment of regret, every little second we have spent worrying about something we did wrong, and have absolutely no clue on what to do next, is the feeling that needs us to bow down, and just forget the world.

In the case of ALLAH, The ALMIGHTY, things are different from the rest of the world. Its just the matter of one little tear that comes out of your eye, and when you ask HIM... HE doesnt answer you back by 'You hurt me..' Instead, HE knows you never meant to hurt YOUR CREATOR. You were just distracted by a mere feeling or most probably you were driven by your emotions or Shaitaan in you. When you bow infront of HIM, letting go of all your past, and begging HIM to forgive you, HE forgives you! "WALLAHu Ghafoor-ur Rahim" - Al Qur'an.
ALLAH is ALL FORGIVING, ALL MERCIFUL! HE never lets you down. HE knows whats the best for you, and sooner or later, HE does it, for you.

Deep inside, we're all struggling. None of us lives an easy life. None of us is all-the-time-cheered up. And most of us are even striving to pass every day's challenges, facing them with every piece of bravery we have inside. We do wrong, all the time. We are not thankful, a lot of times. We get distracted, and even forget how truly blessed we are. But there comes that one moment, when things seem to fall apart and we have to say,"I am sorry, ya ALLAH."

And when that moment comes, it seems like nothing in this world matters. Every human we ever committed a crime with, was as insignificant as the mistakes we have made. We believe, and truly know, that ALLAH is listening and seeing us and would not, at any cost, reject the apology note we are sending to him. The best part is, you dont need to send an online or offline note to ALLAH! All you need to do is, clean up yourself, stand on the Prayer Mat and say,"ALLAHu Akbar" and you will know that very feeling is... everything you ever wanted.

One tear of 'tauba', today, is far more better than shedding countless tears of reject and hurt, tomorrow. Leave it on ALLAH, because if things are meant to be, then they would make their way towards the right destination themselves. If ALLAH has written it for you, it would come to you in the least of expected times. If you're worried about an exam result, just put all your efforts in the preparation, and leave the rest to ALLAH. If you're concerned about the health of your loved one, just believe that ALLAH gives pain to those HE loves. And in return, HE forgives a tons of sins.
If you're worried about a relationship, ALLAH knows what and who is the best for you. Don't forget that if you're ALLAH's creation, so is the other person. And both of you, would know one day, if ALLAH wrote you in each others' fate or not.
If your CREATOR has written a certain blessing in your fate, you would not have to cry and shed a thousand tears on it. If ALLAH considers it best for you, it would happen, eventually.

Do not be impatient. Do not be afraid. Do not fear anything but the wrath of ALLAH. Do not rely on anyone but ALLAH. He would save you, from every trouble, every calamity, if HE intends to. Do not expect anything but ALLAH's blessings, for HE knows, whats the best for you and your given situation.

And believe one thing. ALLAH has always Tested his Believers. Tested them so hard that they could feel the pain hitting like a thousand swords. But, none of the believers, the true ones, ever break down. They keep their faith intact, strong and make sure that whatever they are facing is from their LORD to test their Imaan (faith) and make them more strong, so it wont be hard for them to accept the challenges of life, later.

ALLAH, would never fail you. Rely on HIM, ALLAH would never leave you. For HE loves us, Seventy times more than our own mothers. Ask ALLAH to make you strong, and HE will! Ask ALLAH to make you brave, and you will see that coward in yourself running away so far as if it never existed.

Have faith in YOUR CREATOR, in ALLAH, and you will get everything to make you happy, satisfied and contended! InshaALLAH! Believe in yourself, in your Imaan, and eventually, everything will be all right :)

“And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad
tidings to as-Saabireen (the patient ones).
Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Inna lillaahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raaji’un (Verily to Allah we belong and verily, to Him we shall return).”
They are those on whom are the Salawaat (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are
those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones.” (2:155-157)
